An Open Letter To My Fellow Females

Dear Women of the World,

There are some things that I really just don't care to know about. First off, if you're someone I barely know, I don't want to hear about your sex life. Does that make me a prude? Perhaps. But I really don't care whether or not some guy you met at a bar was "doing it for you" in bed. I suggest you either keep it private or only share with your close friends.

Second, I really don't want to hear about your menstrual cycle. That's another thing that is best kept private. Sure, occasionally we all make a comment to a girlfriend, but alerting me every time your cycle starts is, really, completely unnecessary. Not a pleasant mental image. I'm all for sisterhood and supporting our fellow females, but I do have boundaries. And those boundaries start with your bajingo (a.ka., va-jay-jay). I chose law school over medical school precisely because I didn't want to have to do pelvic and prostate exams!

Sincerely,
Litigious Mind

It is just as disturbing to hear from one of your fellow attorneys EVERY MONTH that "it's my time of the month" inserted into at least one conversation, even while at lunch with her and your husband!
